Our Community Involvement
When it comes to helping our patients and neighbors in the community stay healthy and well for life, we don’t stop caring just because we leave the office for the day. Our team takes part in, supports, and volunteers with many charitable events and organizations our surrounding communities. Epilepsy awareness is one concern that’s especially close to our hearts. Dr. Mingel is an ambassador with the Danny Did Foundation. This organization hosts events, provides education, and supports those who suffer from epilepsy and their families. Their goal is to raise awareness of both epilepsy and sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). Additionally, Dr. Mingel sits on the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida (EFOF) board of directors. This is the state of Florida chapter of the national Epilepsy Foundation. At the local, state, national, and global levels, the Epilepsy foundation offers a variety of events to educate and raise awareness, including Walk the Talk for Epilepsy events.
